Canada Specialist Program
The goal of the Canada Specialist Program (“CSP”) is to help you, the travel professional, learn more about all Canada has to offer your clients.
In order to qualify as a “Canada Specialist” you must do the following:
CANADA SPECIALIST PROGRAM. The objective of the Canada Specialist Program, http://csp.canada.travel (“CSP”), is to educate international travel trade professionals and tourism industry users about tourism offerings in Canada.
In order to qualify as a “Canada Specialist”:
1. complete training with at least 80% accuracy within one year;
2. agree to use best efforts to promote and market travel to and tourism within Canada; and
3. agree to conduct the promotion and marketing of travel to and tourism within Canada with all due care, diligence, cultivate and maintain good relations with customers and potential customers in accordance with best commercial practices, ethical standards and applicable laws.
Once the requirements are fulfilled the CTC will provide:
1. a “Canada Specialist” certificate;
2. access to online resources about selling Canada as a tourism destination; and
3. access to promotional partnership opportunities, including e-newsletters, familiarization trips to Canada (excluding residents of Canada) and other opportunities.
4. Publishing of your contact information to the public through websites, smartphone applications or other means as CTC may make available from time to time in your country.
The CTC does not guarantee any revenue or profit as a result of participating in the CSP. Certification as a Canada Specialist is not a substitute for certification or qualification as a travel agent as required by local regulators. The CTC may require certified Canada Specialists to participate in continuing training in order to upgrade skills and ensure relevancy of information provided by Canada Specialists to the public.
Certification as a Canada Specialist is not deemed authorization to act on behalf of the CTC in any manner or circumstance.
The CTC does not guarantee that Site functions will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected or that CTC servers are virus-free. It is your responsibility to safeguard your own systems and software.
The CTC assumes no liability for inaccurate, delayed or incomplete information, or for any actions you take after surfing the site. Third party information contained on the Website has not necessarily been verified by the CTC. We try to make sure all information included in blog posts is accurate and timely at the time of publication, but the CTC cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies or errors that may occur.
The CTC may monitor access to the Website, discussions thereon and content posted, as well as other activities related to the Website, and they may intervene accordingly, while they are not making any claims or warranties to this effect. You consent to such monitoring and intervention, should the CTC decide to pursue such actions.
You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and to not infringe on the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use or enjoyment of the Website. Without limiting the foregoing, the following behaviours are strictly forbidden: harassment, discrimination, causing distress to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content, impersonation, misrepresentation, interference with or disruption of the Website or their servers or networks.
The CTC owns or has the right to use certain names, words, trademarks, trade names,titles, phrases, logos, graphics, vidoes, designs, writings, text and other content in the Website (the “Intellectual Property”). All Intellectual Property remains with the CTC, and it's licensors.
Unauthorized use of the Intellectual Property may be in violation of applicable federal or other laws and can subject you to legal action. Unless otherwise specified, you may not copy, distribute, redistribute, reproduce, publish, republish, store in any medium, re-transmit, modify, exploit or make any use of the Intellectual Property on the Website.
You acknowledge and agree that your correspondence and business dealings with any third parties, including merchants or advertisers found on or through the Website, are solely between you and these third parties. You also agree that we at the CTC assume no responsibility for any charges you or any user of your account incurs when making purchases or other transactions in this manner.
You will be required to create a profile and become a member in order to participate in the CSP. By signing up for the CSP, you agree to:
1. Provide accurate and complete information during the sign-up process
2. Maintain and update such information to ensure it’s accurate and complete
3. Authorize the CTC to communicate with you regarding your membership or to provide you with information concerning the Website
Keep your username and password confidential. You are responsible for any activity using your username and password. You agree to immediately notify the CTC if you suspect any unauthorized use of your membership, user name or password.
CTC Linking Policy
The CTC is not affiliated with linked websites and does not accept responsibility or liability for the content and privacy practices of those websites. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by the CTC of that website or the information and services provided by that website.
We try our best to provide accurate links, but cannot guarantee links will be functional.
The CTC may grant the owner of an external website permission to use a hypertext link on that website to canada.travel or other websites owned by the CTC, provided these guidelines are followed:
* You must link directly to CTC content, and land on a page within the website.
* You observe all copyright laws.
* You are welcome to use the title or headline of the article to which you are linking, as long as you link directly to the article.
* The appearance, position and other aspects of either the link or the host website may not damage or dilute the goodwill associated with the CTC.
* The CTC reserves the right to revoke its consent to the link at any time in its sole discretion by amending this policy.
* The CTC website must be viewed in a browser window on its own (not framed by the host website).

The information, services and content featured on this Website is not intended to provide specific advice of any kind. The CTC may update the information, content or items on this Website without notice from time to time, but makes not guarantees that any material on this Web site is up-to-date, accurate, error-free or complete. The CTC does not guarantee, in any way, that this information is accurate, error-free or complete. As well, the CTC and its suppliers cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies, errors or incomplete entries in such information and descriptions. Subject to verification with the concerned suppliers, the CTC commits to promptly rectifying any inaccuracies, errors or imprecise elements that any person would bring to its attention. The price payable for each product or service booked or purchased online is the price listed for that product or service, as declared by the supplier to the CTC.
You agree that you will remain responsible for any and all consumer relationships that you may establish in your business. The CTC shall not be in any way responsible or liable for any third party consumer claims which may arise, directly or indirectly, from you holding yourself out as a “Canada Specialist”. You agree to indemnify and hold the CTC harmless from and against all claims, demands, loss, liability, damages and expense (including legal fees and disbursements) which may arise from or relate to your business dealings with third parties, whether related or not to the CSP.
